    This book provides some salient views on important ways of executing and enhancing corporate governance. An extended discussion across the European arena from the mature and historically well positioned Western economies (UK, Denmark, Netherlands) through to the emerging free-market economies (Estonia, Croatia, Poland) is of great value.
The book does not conclude the debate on any particular issue of corporate governance. It does not suggest that any one theory or practice is superior to another. It rather provides valuable input into the on-going discussion on crucial aspects of corporate governance while simultaneously opening new frontiers for consideration. The main message a reader obtains when studying across the text is that high quality public governance and responsible attitudes of all starting with individuals and through to central public authorities, are a precondition for the development of high standards of corporate governance.

Zagadnienie to przedstawione zostało zarówno z perspektywy dojrzałych i dobrze prosperujących rynków gospodarczych państw zachodnich (Wielka Brytania, Dania i Holandia), jak i na przykładzie kształtujących się dopiero wolnorynkowych gospodarek Estonii, Chorwacji i Polski. Praca opublikowana została w języku angielskim.
